New-fashioned, neat rooms and reasonably spacious bathrooms. Warm breakfast, reasonably priced food.

The hotel was great in general. Here we could visit isabel la catolica park that was adjacent to the venue. We used car parking onsite...
Nothing negative to say.

The location offers easy access to the beach across the highway. The rooftop bar delivers excellent views and snacks with drinks.
Rooms show signs of wear with a need for fresh paint and updated curtains. The noise from the busy road outside compromises comfort, and the swim pool's chilliness at the end of the season made it less inviting. Breakfast options come across as limited and not appealing.

The rooftop bar offers fine views, but noise from the busy road made it hard to sleep at times.

Located directly at the beach promenade. You can walk to the center. I had a very quiet room. The beds are very comfortable, not too soft! The room including bathroom was very clean. I chose the menu in the evening in the hotel restaurant. The quality, the service and the price-performance ratio are excellent.
The gym is unfortunately a bit getting old!

Amazing location. Parking nearby, but not at hotel :( Room a bit crowded and bathroom products not up to date. Expensive, but can't beat the location, even though we were looking at the pool instead of the sea! They charge an extra €22 per night for sea view! Staff were helpful.

The sea view was great, but I woke up covered in bites one morning.

It was clean enough and modern but it was not good value for money. The hotel is just like a class box and has no character, no balconys and is situated on a very busy rounabout. We would definatley not reccomend this hotel for a holiday.
Far too expensive!

Abba Playa Gijon is a luxury hotel, but manages to be really family friendly. For example it offers a free drop-in creche for younger children and staff couldnt be more helpful. The reception staff were the nicest I've ever encountered and they put an extra child's bed in our room for no extra charge. The breakfast might seem expensive, but it's worth it. Completely delicious!
It's not based in the Old Town (where all the restaurants are) but it's only a very pleasant 10-15 min stroll along the seafront to get there

The rooftop bar offers fine views of the city and the nearby beach, a perfect spot to unwind during the evening.
The noise from the busy traffic outside was quite disruptive, especially at night, difficult to sleep.
